Biography

Yulin Fang is a Professor of Innovation and Information Management and Director of the Institute of Digital Economy and Innovation (IDEI) at HKU Business School. His research interests include digital innovation, digital entrepreneurship, digital transformation, platform ecosystems, and e-commerce/social media. Yulin has published over 80 research articles in renowned information systems, operations management, and strategic management journals. He has served as a Senior Editor of ISR, JAIS, ISJ and JIT. He is the Co-Editor-in-Chief of Information Technology & People.

Biography

Juan Feng is a Hon Hai Chair Professor of Department of Management Science and Engineering of Tsinghua University. Professor Feng's research interests are in economics of Information systems, focusing on both analytical modeling and empirical analysis. She has been working on topics such as keyword auctions, advertising and pricing, the economics of online review, block chain and data ownership, etc. More than 60 papers have been published in international academic journals and conferences. Among them, many research results have been published in internationally renowned journals such as Information Systems Research, Management Science, Marketing Science, Production and Operations Management, and Informs Journal on Computing.

Professor Yue Katherine FENG

Biography

Katherine received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her research aims to understand individual behaviors on social media, online marketing, and IT innovation and implementation in different contexts, using a variety of research methods such as econometrics, field experiment, survey, and applied machine learning models. Her work has been published in leading journals such as MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research. Before joining PolyU, Katherine worked in the Fintech industry as a big data analyst. 

Prof. Carol HSU

Biography

Carol is a Professor in the Discipline of Business Information Systems. She joined the University of Sydney in February 2021. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science. After graduating, Carol worked in a financial institution in Taiwan for nearly two years. She then began her academic career working in several leading institutions in the Asia-Pacific including City University of Hong Kong, National Taiwan University and Tongji University. Her work has been published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, and other outlets.

 Carol currently serves as Senior Editor at MIS Quarterly. She is Vice President of Communications for the Association of Information Systems. She has received the Sandra Slaughter Service Award from the Association of Information Systems.

Prof. JJ Po-An HSIEH

Biography

Dr. J.J. Po-An Hsieh is a professor of information systems at Georgia State University. His current interests include the future of work with artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics; data analytics systems & capabilities; digital, mobile, & service Innovation; and effective, innovative, and infusion use of IT. Dr. Hsieh has published in premier journals across different disciplines, such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, and Management Science, among DT-24, as well as the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Management Information Systems, among FT-50. He has served on the editorial boards of MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, and Journal of the Association for Information Systems, among others. He received the Annual Best AE Award from Information Systems Research and the Mid-Career Award from the Association for Information Systems. He was also the recipient of the Annual Best Journal Paper Award and the Best Conference Paper Award by the CTO division of the Academy of Management. He also received the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Information Systems. He was voted the Top Professor by students at Georgia State University for his teaching contributions. Professor Jack Jiang is Professor of Innovation and Information Management and Padma and Hari Harilela Professor in Strategic Information Management at HKU Business School, where he directs the AI Evaluation Lab, focusing on large language model benchmarking, multimodal AI assessment, and responsible AI governance. He previously served as Area Head of Innovation and Information Management at HKU. Prior to joining HKU, he was a Full Professor of Information Systems and Analytics at the National University of Singapore. Professor Jiang currently serves as Senior Editor at MIS Quarterly and as Associate Editor at Management Science. He previously served as Senior Editor at the Journal of the Association for Information Systems and as Associate Editor at Information Systems Research and MIS Quarterly, among others.

Dr. Chong (Alex) Wang is a Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong. His research explores the impact of information technology on the generation, sharing, and utilization of information across various business and social contexts. His studies encompass a wide range of topics, including social media, online networks, the platform economy, financial technology, artificial intelligence, data governance, and digital privacy. His scholarly work advances the research frontier in these areas, addresses practical challenges faced by practitioners, and employs multiple methodologies to gather empirical evidence. His research has been published in leading academic journals such as Information Systems ResearchMIS Quarterly, and Management Science. Professor Wang serves as associate editor for prestigious IS journals like MIS Quarterly, Information and Management, and Information Systems Journal

Professor Jing WANG

Jing Wang is an Associate Professor at the School of Business and Management, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the Stern School of Business, New York University. Her research interests include crowdsourcing, online labor markets, crowdfunding, user-generated content, sharing economy, and machine learning. Her work has appeared in leading journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Management Science, Information Systems Research, the Journal of Management Information Systems, and Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery. She received the Management Science ISS Best Paper Award in 2020 and the MIS Quarterly Outstanding Associate Editor Award in 2021.
