AI has rapidly emerged as a transformative force, reshaping how businesses operate, compete, and innovate. In particular, the widespread adoption and diverse applications of Generative AI, agentic AI in particular, are generating profound economic and societal implications across industries. The AI for Business Conference 2027 aims to provide a platform for scholars and industry professionals across relevant ecosystems to share interdisciplinary research insights, practical experiences, and emerging perspectives on the transformative role of AI in business.
The conference is a cornerstone event of Global Human-AI Alliance, a cross-regional platform for research, practice, and governance of human–AI interaction initiated by researchers from the Institute of Digital Economy and Innovation (IDEI) and the AI Evaluation Lab (AIEL) at HKU Business School, the Human-Algorithm Interaction Lab (HAI) at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and TUM School of Management, Technical University of Munich. Previous conferences tied with the Alliance had been held in Hong Kong, Oxford, and Munich.
