Plenary Session

The Empirical and Theoretical Symposium for Canadian Marketing Strategy 2026 will open on Friday, May 22nd with a panel discussion on the topic of ‘Customer Well-being in the Digital Era’. A distinguished panel of three industry leaders will explore questions at the intersection of digital transformation and consumer well-being, including:

(1) How do we balance personalized customer experiences with customer privacy and data rights?

(2) How are digital experiences changing customer well-being?

(3) What is the role of governance in ensuring responsible marketing practices in a digital world?

Panelists

Lisa Cefali

Lisa Cefali is Principal/CEO at Lisa Cefali Inc. She is a dynamic multilingual executive with over 37 years of progressive executive leadership experience in a variety of sectors, including telecommunications, agriculture, fashion manufacturing and retail, executive search & recruitment, sports marketing, executive consulting and not-for-profit leadership where she has held multiple executive roles. Within all of her roles she has been heavily involved and has often led full spectrum marketing, digital marketing, and e-business strategies to assist the organizations in moving forward, growing, repositioning and even to eventually take her firm to acquisition.

Paul Provost

Paul Provost is the founder and president of 6P Marketing. Paul founded 6P Marketing in late 2007 after spending 10 years in various roles across operations and sales. With a team of nearly 40 marketing specialists in marketing planning, brand strategy, creative services, CMS website development, content development as well as media including online and offline advertising, 6P Marketing tailors its services to the specific needs of entrepreneurs and brand leaders. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree from the Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba, is bilingual in French and English and is actively involved in the Winnipeg community including being a regular speaker at both the University of Winnipeg and Manitoba.

Amanda Hildahl

Amanda Hildahl is Director of Customer Experience, Strategy, Planning and Execution at Manitoba Public Insurance, where she leads work that connects customer insight, enterprise strategy, and execution. She has helped MPI build renewed stability and momentum by strengthening alignment, accountability, and sustainable operational delivery across the organization. Amanda brings expertise in strategic business model development, voice of customer, and translating ideas into practical, measurable outcomes. Her perspective is grounded in what it takes to build sustainable operations, align teams around common goals, and deliver value in complex environments. She holds an MBA from the Asper School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Manitoba.
